Overview

Environmental Regulatory Permitting Project Manager FERC/Energy. Stantec is seeking an experienced professional with a keen interest in permitting complex pipeline and energy projects to join our team. Our staff includes specialists across biology, wetlands, soils, fisheries, botany, hydrogeology, engineering, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, environmental policy and permitting, and GIS. We help clients identify opportunities and constraints within regulatory and corporate environments through engagement with the public, stakeholders, and regulators. The role supports traditional energy projects as well as energy transition projects (e.g., Hydrogen, CCUS, CO2 transportation, Lithium, and renewables). The position can be located in any US location, with remote work possible. Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects (FERC-regulated natural gas or liquids pipelines) and energy transition projects across the US. Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, Coastal Zone Management Act, and Section 106 Cultural Resources. Develop and maintain positive client relationships, identify opportunities for new business, and support proposal development. Create technical documents and review technical content that supports regulatory submissions. Support and ensure implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, standards and guidelines in all work phases; coordinate with HSE professionals during planning and implementation. Communicate and collaborate with other Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in project execution. Work as part of a larger midstream and energy permitting team with opportunities to support multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide. Capabilities and Credentials

Demonstrated experience managing pipeline projects, including permitting large natural gas or liquids pipelines. Experience with FERC and NEPA requirements and processes, mitigation measures, and related implementation. Experience managing FERC-regulated projects, including 7(b)/7(c) applications and prior notice/blanket authorizations. Experience managing resource report development for FERC-regulated projects. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize heavy workloads, and adapt to a mobile, changing environment. Strong oral and written communication skills; customer-focused to understand and respond to client needs. Ability to foster and grow strong client relationships. Working understanding of HSSE policies and procedures, including client-specific training as required. Project and task management experience with strong attention to detail. Builds and maintains productive professional and personal networking within their technical team and Business Center. Good driving record and valid drivers license required. Where lawful and at Stantecs discretion, passing post-employment drug and alcohol testing based on client needs. Education and Experience

Bachelors or higher (preferred) in Environmental Science or related field. Minimum of 7+ years of work experience in a similar position. Direct experience preparing and managing FERC permit applications where required by regulatory agencies. Direct experience preparing and managing permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, Coastal Zone Management Act, and/or Section 106 Cultural Resources.
