DEA is currently seeking a skilled and motivated

Civil Project Engineer

with expertise in site design projects to join our dynamic land development team based in

Tustin, CA . As a Civil Engineer focused on site design, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and managing various aspects of land development projects. This role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, proficiency in relevant design software, and the ability to contribute to project success through innovative solutions. Responsibilities: Site Planning and Design:

Apply civil engineering principles to develop comprehensive site plans for various projects. Conduct site layout, grading, drainage, utility design, and other site development activities.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Facilitate the permitting process and coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed.

Technical Proficiency:

Utilize design software (such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD) to create detailed plans and drawings. Perform calculations related to grading, stormwater management, and utility systems.

Client Interaction:

Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and objectives. Provide regular updates on project progress and address client concerns or inquiries.

Project Management:

Develop project schedules, budget estimates, and identify critical milestones. Coordinate with project teams and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough reviews of design plans to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards. Implement quality control measures throughout the design process.

Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site design projects.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software. Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and site layout principles.

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.

Problem Solving:

Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop innovative solutions. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Professional Certification:

Professional Engineer (PE) license
