Organizes and coordinates assigned programs and services that facilitate a supportive institutional approach to develop the whole student across the Century College student population. Provides leadership and administration for all units within the Dean of Student's Office, including but not limited to the following: Academic Advising, Career and Support Counseling Services, Student Life, Federal grants and more. Reports to the Provost, Vice President for Academic Student Affairs and is actively involved as a key member of the President's Cabinet and Academic and Student Affairs leadership team. Directs and oversees a wide variety of programs that serve a diverse student population comprised of all enrolled students in liberal arts and career and technical programs, while working closely with systemwide student services on areas related to Title IX, student conduct, rights and responsibilities, and other compliance areas. Guides and advances student resources and advocacy processes, student accommodations, and campus safety programs. Directs and coordinates personal services and programs related to student development and academic success efforts. Sets the strategic direction for the Dean of Students' programming and makes recommendations on related policies. Works in close collaboration with Academic Affairs at the college and the community. Position Responsibilities: Lead and Supervise the Operations of Student Affairs Offices/Departments Budget Development and Management Salary Range: $87,098 - $139,466 Annually Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited institution. Five or more years of higher education administrative and supervisory experience at the dean level or higher. Demonstrated experience aligned with Century Colleges mission and student demographics, providing effective support through academic and student services. Proven leadership in higher education, including enrollment management, program development and evaluation, budget management, staffing, and supervision. Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, interpersonal, and public presentation abilities. Experience with utilizing data to make data-informed decision making, including analysis of student outcomes to guide services and planning. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to higher education, including Title IX and student conduct. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a unionized educational environment, including application of collective bargaining agreements. Proven ability in broad strategic planning while maintaining strong attention to detail; demonstrated abilities in critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. Experience leading organizational change and implementing innovative student support initiatives including grant administration. Proven capacity to manage high-stress and crisis situations while maintaining institutional priorities.
