Parts Clerk
Ergon Marine & Industrial Supply, Inc., has an opening for a Parts Clerk at its Wood River, IL, location. The Parts Clerk position will assist the Marine Supply Manager in providing customer service, purchasing supplies at competitive prices, maintaining warehouse inventory, and ensuring the warehouse remains clean. Parts Clerk Responsibilities include the following: Support the Marine Supply Manager in day-to-day operations Required to be on-call as needed Receive and process customer orders and ensure accuracy by communicating with the customer on any questions or issues Invoice customers and vendors and ensure that all orders are accurate Maintain the accuracy of the billing process and address any questions that arise Ensure the loading of customer orders on the crew boat or dock as appropriate Maintain stock items in inventory and the purchasing of any non-stock items Handle customer complaints or issues Verify accuracy in all aspects of the order fulfillment process: customer/vendor order, preparation, delivery, invoicing, payment, etc. Load and deliver parts orders to the dock when called for and in advance for night shift and weekend deliveries Process (palletize) customer products that are shipped in from suppliers and invoice accordingly Pick up and deliver supplies to Magnolia Marine Transport when requested Maintain filing system with invoices and backup paperwork Ensure warehouses are kept clean daily Follow the maintenance schedule for the department vehicle. Report any mechanical problems to the Marine Operations Manager Complete the following checklist, reporting any problems to the appropriate manager: Forklift Pre-Shift Checklist at the beginning of each shift Vehicle Inspection Checklist at the beginning of each shift Fire Extinguisher Inspection monthly Ladder Inspection Checklist monthly Other duties as assigned This position will require shift work as follows: work 3 days on the day shift, 3 nights on the night shift, and 3 days off Parts Clerk Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Computer Experience Self-motivated with good organizational skills Training in SAP Program preferred Forklift license Valid driver's license TWIC Card The person selected must be able to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
