Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $78,000.00/yr COMPENSATION

Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $78,000 plus commission potential, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan. WORKING CONDITIONS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES Serves as the main point of contact for clients to facilitate and direct all the logistics associated with a Special Event at Central Park Boathouse. Event coordination includes menu planning, coordination with preferred venders and communication with other departments including, but not limited to Culinary, Operations, Banquets Develop customized menus to meet the diverse needs of social and corporate clientele Lead the food and beverage planning process with clients including menu development, tastings and communicating service standards Identify and capitalize on upselling opportunities to drive incremental revenue growth, consistently exceeding contracted sales targets by 1015%. Communicate with the Event Sales team to ensure events are executed as planned Manage collection of all required insurance documentation for event vendors Coordinate vendor load-in following established building policies and procedures Responsible for communication between the Event Sales, Banquets and the Culinary team Stay current with industry trends and participate in the development of innovative menu concepts, event set-ups and service styles Assist with financial reporting including pre and post event P&Ls and projected sales reports Attend weekly Event Order and Hospitality leadership meetings Liaise with Operations team to ensure the event space is well maintained Create spreadsheets and documents to improve event operations Complete other duties as assigned by Management

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree, Hospitality Management degree preferred 2-5 years of Management experience in Catering, Banquets, Events or Hospitality Ability to communicate effectively with other departments, staff and guests Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities Familiarity with P&L reporting Willingness and drive to exceed the guest expectations Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette Must possess strong organizational skills General knowledge of competitive set in market Willingness to work extended hours and flexible shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training
