This is a full-time, exempt level position in Mountain View, California. Work Environment
SVCFs work environment is based on a holistic wellness approach and therefore, has embraced a hybrid remote/office work environment. All SVCF team members must be based and hold residency in California and must be able to regularly attend team and staff meetings, trainings and other gatherings in Mountain View when required. Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Gift Planning and working across teams, the Planned Giving Officer (Officer) is responsible for helping donors make planned or legacy gifts to SVCF. In partnership with the Director, the Officer manages cultivation, solicitation acknowledgement, donor research and donor engagement/stewardship of current and prospective planned gift donors. The Officer, alongside the Director, works with donors and their financial and legal advisors to secure both outright and planned gifts in conjunction with donors needs and SVCFs initiatives and priorities. The Officer stewards a portfolio of donors who currently have documented planned gifts. The Officer possesses technical knowledge of planned giving and the related tax regulations related to gift plans. Experience and understanding of gifts through wills, trusts, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, Donor Advised Funds and their succession plans is required. Responsibilities
Cultivate, solicit, acknowledge, and steward current and prospective planned gift donors. Manage a portfolio of donors with documented planned gifts. Collaborate with the Director and teams to secure both outright and planned gifts in alignment with donors needs and SVCFs priorities. Conduct donor research and coordinate with donors financial and legal advisors. Qualifications
Technical knowledge of planned giving and related tax regulations for gift plans. Experience with gifts through wills, trusts, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, Donor Advised Funds and their succession plans.
