Jewish Nevada is seeking a full-time Event Manager to oversee all operational and logistical elements of organizational eventsfrom intimate donor gatherings to large-scale community programs. The Event Manager will be the driving force behind timelines, vendor coordination, on-site logistics, and execution. While department heads and program leads own the donor strategy, fundraising goals, and program vision, the Event Manager ensures the event infrastructure is flawlessly executed. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple projects at onceoften across different departments. Flexibility is key: some weeks may be lighter, while others include multiple events and evening or weekend work. What You Will Own: The Event Manager is responsible for managing all behind-the-scenes logistics for Jewish Nevadas events. This includes developing and managing production schedules, coordinating vendors, supporting department leads, and ensuring that our events are run smoothly, on-time, and on-budget. Serving as the project lead for event logistics and execution across the organization. Creating detailed event timelines and checklists tailored to the needs of each department or program. Ensuring department heads and program leads can stay focused on donor engagement, programming, and contentwithout worrying about operations. Managing relationships with vendors, venues, and service providers to ensure all logistics are handled with professionalism and efficiency. Acting as the main point of contact for all non-programmatic event planning elements. What You Will Do: Operations & Logistics Coordinate all event logistics including: venue contracts, catering, A/V, rentals, show. Develop and manage comprehensive event timelines and checklists, tracking progress and ensuring all internal stakeholders meet key deadlines. Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including cost negotiation, scheduling, and day-of coordination. Prepare event budgets and monitor expenditures; reconcile invoices and expenses post-event. Serve as on-site lead at events to oversee set-up, ensure real-time troubleshooting, and manage logistics staff or volunteers. Maintain documentation of each events logistics, feedback, and final wrap-up to inform future planning. Internal Coordination & Support Collaborate across departments to understand event goals, audiences, and operational needs. Schedule and lead pre-event planning meetings with department heads and relevant staff. Communicate clear expectations and timelines to all involved, adjusting as needed based on organizational priorities. Ensure internal systems are updated with event information (e.g., CRM, shared calendars, guest lists). Serve as a resource and support system to colleagues, ensuring they can focus on content and donor experience without being burdened by logistics. Flexibility & Initiative Demonstrate adaptability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, based on event schedules. Embrace a flexible work culture that recognizes ebbs and flows in event timing and supports work-life integration. Show initiative and leadership by anticipating challenges and presenting solutions. Continuously evaluate and improve internal event processes to ensure efficiency and impact. Assist with organizational-wide initiatives and perform other duties as assigned to support the success of Jewish Nevada's mission What You Have Accomplished: Minimum 3 years of direct event planning experience required (nonprofit or fundraising events a plus). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and deadlines. Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills. High level of comfort with budget tracking and vendor negotiation. Ability to confidently lead in fast-paced, high-pressure event environments. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Experience in a nonprofit or fundraising setting is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Neon One, Asana, or similar tools is a bonus. What Youll Receive: A flexible, hybrid work environment that recognizes when evening/weekend hours are worked. Salary range of $50,000$55,000 depending on experience.
