We are seeking a detail-oriented Hazardous Materials Shipping Clerk to join our team part-time and ensure that all samples are packaged, documented and shipped in strict accordance with applicable regulations. The Hazardous Materials Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing, labeling, and documenting shipments containing hazardous materials in compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and package hazardous materials shipments in compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG requirements Accurately complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading, hazardous materials declarations and labels/placards Maintain shipping records and compliance logs Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging and regulatory compliance Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders and internal departments to schedule shipments Keep up to date with changes to hazardous materials regulations
