Mid-Level Environmental Engineer
We are seeking a
Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Geologist
for a direct hire position at our clients environmental consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 10 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include designing assessment and remedial programs for site cleanup, ensuring regulatory compliance, obtaining permits, supporting fieldwork (sampling groundwater, soil, vapor, and surface water), managing project budgets, preparing technical reports and presentations, and communicating with clients, regulators, and team members. The role involves collaboration with vendors, labs, and project teams, analyzing environmental data, and contributing to a team-oriented environment. Location: Irvine, CA. Job Requirements: Support assessment and remediation program design, environmental due diligence, compliance, and permitting activities. Coordinate and perform fieldwork, including sampling of groundwater, soil, vapor, and surface water. Develop and monitor project budgets. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals with minimal oversight. Communicate project status with senior staff, clients, and regulators. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and labs, overseeing subcontractor work. Analyze environmental data using statistical and visualization tools. Manage data entry, QA/QC, and report generation. Conduct research tasks with input from senior staff and experts. Collaborate effectively within a team environment. Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher in Geosciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred. 3-10 years of relevant professional experience. Engineer in Training (EIT) or Geologist in Training (GIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) or Geoscientist (PG) preferred. Skills include data management, analysis, and communication. Ability to manage multiple tasks and datasets. Ability to work independently and in teams. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel domestically. Knowledge of environmental regulations and OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred. To be considered:
