Android Test Automation Engineer

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY We are looking for an experienced Android platform Automation Engineer with strong leadership, insight into mobile architecture, software development skills, and experience in developing and enhancing mobile test automation frameworks. The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing automated solutions including unit testing, functional testing, UI testing, and performance testing to ensure software quality across a wide range of mobile devices and tablets. Typically requires 3-5 years of experience and a bachelors degree or equivalent. Primary Skill Automation Testing REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in computer science or a similar technical field. 5+ years of experience in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java. Experience with mobile automation tools and frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest). Hands-on experience designing and building automation frameworks from scratch or using open-source tools. Experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium and documenting UI automation. Proficient in Java and shell scripting. Mobile test automation with Appium is required. Experience with Selenium and TestNG. Implement new testing frameworks for future products and features. Participate in code reviews of standards, procedures, tools, and quality improvement processes. Maintain automated regression suites to remain compliant with changing requirements and features. Work closely with Product and Engineering teams. Experience with source code and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Perforce, Git, Bitbucket). Ability to work with limited to no guidance in a team environment. DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Experience with continuous integration and unit tests. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
