Tax Technology and Transformation offers services to address the impact of technology on tax, including data management, and helps clients create a cost-effective tax function, understand data as an asset, and navigate tax transparency, compliance and audit changes. Responsibilities
Support various client projects by delivering MS SQL Server, SharePoint and MS Power BI solutions. Implement third-party tax applications and support/automate internal and external operations of multinational tax departments. Contribute to developing a highly trained team and maintain quality and commercial value in all deliverables. Engage in activities that uphold EY’s reputation as trusted advisors by taking on bold initiatives and addressing new challenges. Skills and Attributes for Success
Taking ownership of assigned tasks, including documenting requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, project profitability, and tax systems/process configuration. Identify ways to automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems and emerging technologies. Consolidate tax data to enable efficient analysis and planning. Improve reporting capabilities to help clients evaluate risk and seize opportunities. Support project team members to ensure timely delivery of results. Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Information Systems and/or a master's degree in Accounting, Tax Technology, MIS, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of three years of related work experience. Approved technical certification, CPA license or membership to a state Bar or progress toward attaining those credentials. Strong interest in technology and its use in business processes. Excellent communication and business writing skills; problem-solving orientation and entrepreneurial approach. Strong organizational and time-management skills with client-serving consulting experience. Ability to capture and synthesize business requirements; willingness to provide leadership within a team; travel as needed; hybrid work environment. Ideal Experience
Experience implementing third-party direct or indirect tax systems (e.g., ONESOURCE, CorpTax, Vertex, Avalara, Longview). Microsoft Office VBA development; Microsoft Power BI (Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View, Power Map). Database design/development with SQL Server; ETL development (SSIS or similar). ERP experience (SAP and/or Oracle); SharePoint development. Experience managing large, multidisciplinary tax-related projects (ERP implementations, tax co-sourcing, finance transformations).
