CNC Programmer
Paying $40 / HR - $45/ HR Location - Portland, OR 97230 We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce complex parts and assemblies with precision and quality. Responsibilities:
Program CNC machines using MasterCam for complex parts and assemblies. Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to machine components from titanium, tungsten, and copper. Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling based on material properties and job requirements. Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles to ensure dimensional accuracy. Perform in-process inspections and final quality checks using precision measuring tools. Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and quality. Maintain equipment and tooling in good working condition. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes. Document setups, programs, and best practices for repeatability and continuous improvement. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or manufacturing preferred. Minimum of three years of experience in CNC machining and programming. Familiarity with other CAM software is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Environment/ Shift:
Large machine shop doing high precision large production runs on a variety of CNC's. Company has a family feel to it and management is very connected to the operators. They have chosen their business wisely over the last 25 years and have an excellent work flow from quarter to quarter. Largest customer is Benchmade Knives, they make their titanium and aluminum knife frames. Day Shift: Monday - Thursday (4-10s) or Monday - Friday (5-8s). Employee Value Proposition:
