Vice President, Private Credit and BDC Controller About the Company Top-tier private equity firm Industry Venture Capital & Private Equity Type Private Equity Firm About the Role The Company is in need of a Vice President, Private Credit and BDC Controller to take on a pivotal role in the oversight of accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance for its credit-focused investment vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial close processes, ensuring adherence to US GAAP and fair value measurement guidance, and preparing and reviewing various SEC filings. This role also involves close coordination with external fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors, as well as monitoring liquidity, credit facilities, and capital activities. The Controller will be a key partner to the investment teams in the analysis of investment valuations, and will also manage year-end audits, tax filings, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA certification and a minimum of 7 years' experience in BDCs, private credit, or alternative asset management. A strong understanding of private credit structures, debt instruments, and the BDC regulatory framework is essential. The role requires experience with SEC filings, GAAP for investment companies, and fund accounting systems, as well as proficiency in Excel and financial modeling. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities also include strategic and management reporting, so the ability to analyze financial trends, portfolio performance, and operational KPIs is crucial.
