Lead and inspire high-performing culinary and service teams in a hospitality-focused environment. Design and execute exceptional culinary programs that blend creativity, nutrition, and a commitment to exceeding dining expectations. Collaborate with residents to create fresh, innovative menus. Ensure smooth, efficient dining operations that consistently deliver and exceed customer expectations. What Were Looking For
A visionary leader with a background in fine dining and hospitality management. Minimum of 5+ years leading dining and culinary operations. A passion for service and excellence. Education, Experience, Certification, And Licensure Requirements
Culinary training and High School diploma or equivalent required. Certification as Dietary Manager preferred. 5+ years of related experience including fine dining and health services dining. Ability to become Serve Safe certified is required. Job Duties
Maintain good public relations with residents; attend to residents requests, problems, comfort and needed services. Serve as liaison with residents; attend Resident Dining Services Food Committee, New Resident Orientation, community meetings, etc. Review and respond as necessary to resident correspondence. Organize, direct, supervise, and assign responsibilities to the Dining Services team members. Ensure knowledge of local, state, and Continuing Care Retirement Community regulations related to service delivery, sanitation, and team members. Work closely with the Dietitian to ensure appropriate therapeutic care throughout the facility. Oversee the departmental QA program; perform regular QA inspections and coordinate corrective actions as needed. Approve hiring, evaluate performance appraisals, and review disciplinary actions. Manage team development and in-servicing; participate in orientation for new team members. Review expenditures, purchasing, staffing, and budgetary compliance. Coordinate with other department directors on interdepartmental matters; attend community team meetings. Coordinate monthly schedules and participate as a member of the community management team to develop policies and programs. May serve as weekend Manager on Duty. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of dining room and kitchen operations; subject matter expert in food service, presentation, customer service, and sanitation. Knowledge of food production, hosting, and serving. Ability to taste, smell, and see; basic math skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English with seniors and team members. Ability to manage team members, scheduling, payroll, budget, and service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (word processing and spreadsheets). Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Extensive walking, bending, stooping, standing, and carrying; exposure to heat and cold. Fast-paced environment with multiple tasks; ability to work inside and outside to respond to problems daily. Flexible work schedule including universal staffing, holidays, and inclement weather. Exposure to typical healthcare environment sounds, odors, and residents with dementia. Benefits
