Job Description The Trial Attorney represents insureds and the Company in defending bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. This role prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions. Key Responsibilities Contact clients to discuss their cases and answer questions. Review new files, documentary evidence, approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop strategy. Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation when appropriate. Conduct settlements and dispositive proceedings such as mediations and arbitrations. Prepare for and conduct court appearances including conferences and hearings. Conduct depositions and examinations under oath, and prepare summary documents. Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including expert witnesses. Try and/or arbitrate cases and prepare motions and summary documents. Keep claim business partners updated on case status and litigation plans. Education 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Required) Juris Doctor (Required) Experience 3-5 years of experience (Preferred) Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties.
