The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: Identify and manage risk in the manufacturing process Ensure products and processes meet both customer and internal quality requirements Direct the existing Supply Chain Team on when to request a FAIR from suppliers Author Quality Inspection Plans for Parts - determine key characteristics, generate a plan, develop an inspection process, create inspection work Instructions when needed Point of contact to the supply chain to resolve technical quality issues with the suppliers and customers, to ensure full containment of all quality-related issues is conducted both internally and at associated sites and suppliers promptly Create quality inspection plans for suppliers experiencing a high rate of failures Facilitate and lead a cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure, and leading Corrective Action Boards Verify product and process compliance concerning contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, and internal policies Ensure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate the Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary Approve CRB (Corrective Response Board) actions as the only Quality asset on site Daily status meetings with the factory support, factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders to manage the issue Acting as the primary point of contact for customers on quality-related issues, ensuring clear communication and effective problem resolution Attend the Management Review as the only Quality asset on site Executing the final product release process, ensuring that all requirements are met before shipment Work Experience Bachelor's degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years of experience OR In the absence of a degree, 5 years of relevant experience are required Aerospace industry experience is preferred. Experience with industry certifications (AS9100, AS9102, ISO9001 DSQR for Collins, PW, and GE) Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) is preferred Pay Range: $36.06/ hr - $40.87/ hr Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan. Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Southwick, MA. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 0% of travel is required. Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
