Vice President, Platform Engineering Location: Remote, USA

IntePros is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Platform Engineering to lead a global engineering organization. This pivotal role will oversee Software Development, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Production Support teams, driving the scalability, reliability, and compliance of healthcare technology platforms. The VP will be responsible for evolving enterprise platforms, integrating homegrown applications with third-party systems, and ensuring secure, performant, and compliant operations. The ideal candidate brings deep U.S. healthcare expertise (particularly in post-acute care), a proven track record in Microsoft Azure environments, and demonstrated success building and leading high-performing global engineering teams.

Engineering Leadership Lead and scale globally distributed teams across software development, QA, DevOps, and support. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, quality, and operational excellence. Align platform architecture with evolving business strategy and long-term technology roadmaps. Platform Strategy & Execution Own the design, development, and delivery of SaaS and PaaS applications built on

Azure

(React, C#, REST APIs, Azure Functions, App Services). Drive integration strategies for third-party vendors, partners, and customer platforms using secure, standards-based protocols. Architecture & Interoperability Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect on event-driven and messaging-based architectures. Ensure adoption of interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7, and EDI X12 (837i, 278, 270/271). Champion modern software architecture principles such as microservices, domain-driven design, and API-first approaches. Quality & DevOps Establish robust QA frameworks and CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps. Implement observability, system health monitoring, and incident response practices aligned with DevOps best practices. Compliance & Security Embed HIPAA, HITRUST, and regulatory compliance into platform governance. Drive cloud security posture management and ensure adherence to privacy and risk control frameworks. Qualifications 20+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 10 years in senior/executive leadership. Proven success leading global, cross-functional engineering organizations. Deep expertise in U.S. healthcare, with emphasis on post-acute care, Medicare, Medicaid, and payer-provider ecosystems. Strong technical background in Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Managed Identity, Message Bus, B2C tenant, Azure DevOps). Hands-on expertise with .NET (C#), React, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures. Experience with EDI/X12 transactions (837i, 278, 270/271) and integration with clearinghouses or healthcare partners. Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare a strong plus. Experience integrating with EHRs, EMRs, and payer systems preferred. SaaS and full product lifecycle development experience. Track record of modernizing legacy platforms and driving digital transformation initiatives. Visionary leadership with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams. Operational mindset with focus on resilience, observability, and service-level performance.
