Material Handler
The incumbent for the Material Handler positions safely operates a forklift to transport materials throughout the warehouse. Performs operator maintenance on forklifts and completes operator checklist. Uses Bar Code Scanner to record material storage, use, and inventory. Current 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday times are: 1st: 6am-2pm 2nd: 2pm-10pm 3rd: 10pm-6am. Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Material Handler consist of but are not limited to: Operate powered industrial equipment (forklift) in accordance with OSHA guidelines Maintain inventory integrity and product safety at all times Perform routine and assigned housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe work environment Operate material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse Check-in inbound product and tag product accordingly Perform various receiving functions, such as unloading trucks and putting away product in the correct overstock location Inspect all power equipment and complete the safety inspection sheet before operation Follow all of the safety procedures Stack empty pallets; clean and sweep work area and remove trash regularly Responsible for safely loading and unloading trailers Responsible for all paperwork, WMS labeling and scanning Responsible for the inspection of incoming and outbound components Responsible for the labeling of all items brought into the facility, as well as the scanning of all incoming materials, following the scanning procedures Education And Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred - One or more years of sit-down forklift experience. Preferred Food industry experience.
