Finance Analyst Job Description I. JOB SUMMARY: The Finance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations by conducting daily Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting, developing, and implementing financial models, and providing strategic insights to drive business decisions. II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to analyze profitability, risk, and performance metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, conduct analyses, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize business operations. Identify trends, patterns, and outliers in financial data to support forecasting and budgeting processes. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses for senior management and stakeholders. Evaluate existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancements. Maintain a thorough understanding of mortgage banking regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. Stay current with market trends, economic indicators, and industry benchmarks to inform decision-making processes. Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement data management solutions, leveraging tools such as Excel, SQL, and other query languages. III. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and financial modeling techniques. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively. Experience with query languages such as SQL is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of mortgage banking operations, financial products, and regulatory requirements is a plus. DISCLAIMER:
