Senior Specialist Underwriting Operations, Professional Lines

The Opportunity The purpose of this role is to support underwriting operations by managing documentation, client records, and submissions, as well as assisting in the development of junior operations underwriters. Location and Work Arrangement Locations: New York, NY, Chicago, IL Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with 2-3 days in the office per week Compensation The starting salary ranges from $88,000 to $150,000, with additional benefits and bonus opportunities based on performance and location. Your Responsibilities Facilitate efficient underwriting by following guidelines and assessing exposures. Support and mentor junior underwriters through guidance and training. Process new business, renewals, and cancellations accurately. Use underwriting data to inform pricing models. Manage client files and update records using CRM tools. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Participate in operational projects to improve processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve underwriting issues and guide clients. Maintain key reporting databases and track documents. Preferred Experience and Qualifications Experience in finance, insurance, and underwriting operations. Higher education or equivalent experience.
