About the job Staff Accountant
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This remote position is ideal for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and looking for flexible, part-time work with a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general ledger accounting and account reconciliations Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Assist in month-end and year-end close processes Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and supporting schedules Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP Support budgeting and forecasting activities Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting Other duties as assigned by the Controller or CFO Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of relevant accounting experience (public or private) Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely Effective communication and problem-solving skills
