Material Planner Base Pay Range
$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr Job Description:
This position analyzes and maintains the materials required for Energetic Devices chemistries to meet production schedules. The Material Planner is responsible for planning material flow to meet production needs and satisfy internal and external customer requirements by coordinating and communicating with Program Managers, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Schedulers. This position is responsible for ensuring the Bill of Material is maintained in an accurate manner through close coordination with Engineering. All product delivery requirements must flow through the Material Planner to ensure adherence to the production schedule and proper inventory levels. Plans and maintains the material requirements for certain Defense Systems product lines. Plan material flow to meet production needs and ensure required material arrives at the right time to minimize inventory levels and improve efficiencies. Ensure the Bill of Material is maintained in an accurate manner through close coordination with Engineering. Interface with Contracts, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering on a daily basis. Ensure accurate BOMs with Engineering. Maintain tools to effectively and efficiently keep inventory levels at a minimum (RM, WIP, FG). Ensure materials will arrive in facility to support production schedules. Continuously improve strategies in accordance with lean supply chain management concepts throughout the organization. Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent: General Education - Required Bachelor's Degree: Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline - Preferred Experience Requirements:
Experience in a manufacturing setting with experience in planning related functions. Strong computer skills and familiar with basic MRP system functions; basic skills in Excel. Proven ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data. Understanding of Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma desired. Note:
