Back Up Transit Operator
Provide safe and efficient transportation for the passengers of CCATD Public Transit Operate the bus on scheduled times Pick up passengers on dispatched requests for transportation Perform wheelchair securements Operate the bus on scheduled activities i.e. out-of-town routes, medical trips. Respond to medical emergencies and injuries to passengers in a manner consistent with CCATD policies and procedures
Travel Trainer
Coordinate and deliver individualized or group training sessions for individuals with special needs, seniors, and students on the safe and proper use of public transportation. Provide instruction on topics such as bus rules, schedules, routes, safety skills (e.g., crossing streets, landmark identification, emergency procedures), and navigating the transit system. Assess individual needs and develop customized training plans. Conduct community outreach and promotion of travel training programs. Build relationships with community agencies and organizations to expand mobility solutions for customers.
Scheduler/Dispatcher
Ability to field a high volume of calls. Accurately enters client info into routing software program. Monitor and use computer software and two-way radio for information regarding scheduling issues, and field situations; notify supervisor of situations requiring attention. Monitor and report to operations supervisory staff any Operator concerns or possible violations of operations procedures and/or policies. Mail out paratransit applications upon request. Receive incoming paratransit and route deviated ride requests and input information into dispatch scheduling software system. Develop daily paratransit service schedules, assign trips to appropriate runs, and maximizing service quality and system productivity. Maintain confidentiality of CCATD rider personal information.
Qualifications
Previous bus driving experience is preferred but not required to be considered for employment. Further training, licenses, and certifications are required to operate a bus and maintain employment with CCATD. Knowledge of and ability to learn and use standard computer software applications, including Microsoft Office, dispatch scheduling software programs, mobile data systems. Clean driving record. Excellent customer service skills working with people from all walks of life including people with disabilities and seniors. Previous experience conducting community engagement and training preferred. Benefits
