Sechler Law Firm, LLC. is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented

Paralegal

with

5-7 years of experience

in

estate planning, probate, and elder law

to support our attorneys and provide exceptional service to our aging clients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Pennsylvania probate procedures and estate planning documents, with a client-focused mindset and excellent organizational skills. Experience with Medicaid-related filings is a plus, but not required.

This role involves working closely with attorneys to prepare legal documents, manage both estate planning and estate administration cases, and ensure timely and accurate filings with courts and agencies.

Responsibilities

•Prepare and draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives under attorney supervision. •Assist in all phases of probate and estate administration, including preparing petitions, notices, inheritance tax returns, and fiduciary accountings. •Manage communication with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court personnel to facilitate smooth case progression. •Maintain organized case files and track deadlines using the firm's legal case management system. •Assist attorneys with

educational presentations and community outreach , including event preparation, client materials, and logistics. •Coordinate and track guardianship filings, court appointments, and follow-ups with clients and third parties. •Ensure accuracy and compliance with Pennsylvania legal procedures and firm policies.

Qualifications

•5-7 years of relevant paralegal experience in estate planning, probate, or elder law. •Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania probate processes, Orphans' Court procedures, and estate/inheritance tax requirements. •Familiarity with estate planning terminology and document types. •Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. •Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professionalism in client interactions. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software (e.g., Clio, PracticePanther, or similar). •Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. •Paralegal certificate or relevant legal education preferred, but not required with sufficient experience.
