Work Here!Serves as legislative liaison for County Judge.Represents County Judge as required at local, regional, state and national events.Responds to constituent complaints and public inquiries in person, over the phone and in writing.Leads special projects as assigned.Prepares reports on activities as required.Reviews community periodicals and publications in order to inform County Judge of current issues within the county and state.Executive support: Prioritize the Judge's engagements and handle all high-level logistical and operational tasks.Operational planning: Develop and implement operational strategies and processes to improve efficiency in the Judge's day-to-day duties.Communication and correspondence: Draft communications, memos, and reports, on behalf of the Judge. Act as a liaison with constituents, and external stakeholders, including government officials and community leaders.Event and travel coordination: Plan and manage logistics for travel, meetings, briefings, and other events.Project management: Lead special projects as assigned, ensuring they are completed on time and in line with strategic objectives.Information management: Maintain and organize confidential files, databases, and digital assets. Control the flow of information to and from the Judge.Issue and risk management: Monitor and address emerging issues and potential risks related to the County or the Judge. Serve as a point of contact for resolving complex and sensitive problems.Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by the Emergency Management Director.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.7 years job related experience.Experience: Proven experience in a high-level operations role, ideally within a political or government setting.Skills: Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDiscretion: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with impeccable judgment.Adaptability: Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and often unpredictable environment.Strategic thinker: An ability to align tactical operations with the broader strategic vision.Interpersonal skills: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people, from staff to high-profile officials.Ethical conduct: The highest level of integrity and professional ethics.STARTING SALARY: Commensurate with qualificationsCLOSING DATE: Upon filling positionAll full-time and part-time employees are members of the Texas County District Retirement System (TCDRS).
