In this role you will be responsible for transporting and loading materials, supplies, and finished goods using a forklift, electronic pallet jack, hand pallet jack, or carry by hand. Requirements Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.Prepares and maintains records of materials received/shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other information.Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.Transport and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods using a forklift, electronic pallet jack, hand pallet jack, or carry by hand. When problems arise internally, material handler will resolve issues or make corrections. Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.Prolonged periods sitting on a forklift•Prolonged periods of standing while sorting.Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time. Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements 5 years of experience driving a forkliftBeen certified as a forklift driverExcellent verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Understands instructions and has the ability to follow through on those instructions.Good math and written communication skills.Must be proficient on a computer and is able to learn proprietary software. Efficient time management skills.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred.At least five years of related experience required.
