Support the Florida business development team in pursuit efforts, providing leadership, strategy, and client engagement expertise. Serve as a mentor and people leader — recruiting, developing, and retaining top engineering talent in Orlando. Proactively build relationships with clients, professional organizations, and partner firms to expand presence and influence across Florida. Balance focus on both practice advancement and business performance in alignment with the firm’s Practice-Led Business Model. Project Manager / Technical Responsibilities:

Develop conceptual design approaches for major roadway projects and review detailed design plans. Manage roadway elements including geometric design, right-of-way plans, storm drainage, utilities, signing/marking, and erosion control. Prepare engineering reports, specifications, contract documents, and project cost estimates. Oversee the production and review of engineering drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agency standards. Anticipate and resolve complex design and coordination challenges. Supervise project delivery, including coordination with clients, contractors, FDOT, CFX, municipal agencies, and internal teams. Mentor junior engineers and technical staff through project execution and career growth. Ensure effective communication with project teams, clients, and review agencies. Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering. Minimum 12 years of roadway design experience. FDOT project experience required. Demonstrated project management experience. Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required. Proficient with Bentley software; knowledge of ORD preferred. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications. Proven ability to build, motivate, and lead high-performing teams. Adept at client engagement, persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building.

This is a unique opportunity to lead projects, grow a practice, and shape the next phase of our Transportation Market in Florida. With support from established teams in Tampa, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee, the Orlando Senior Roadway Engineer will play a critical role in expanding our presence in Central Florida and positioning the firm for long-term success.
