The Orange East Supervisory Union (OESU) is located in the beautiful Upper Valley of the Connecticut River in Bradford, Vermont. OESU is comprised of six schools and a technical center serving over 1,500 students in grades pre-K through twelve. Our schools proudly serve the towns of Bradford, Newbury, Corinth, Groton, Ryegate, Thetford, Topsham, Wells River and local tuition towns. Our boards conduct the business of providing leadership and support to schools for the purpose of improving educational outcomes for our students. Orange East Supervisory Union is seeking a dedicated and licensed Special Education Case Manager to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students' academic and emotional growth, ensuring compliance with VT Special Education Law, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and facilitate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students at various grade levels. Schedule, coordinate, and lead annual IEP and evaluation meetings in accordance with VT Special Education Law. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and paperwork for all students within your caseload, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate regularly with parents, classroom teachers, related service providers, and other support staff to discuss student progress and needs. Monitor and assess the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral progress of students, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet their individual goals. Provide guidance and support to educators and staff to ensure students' needs are met within the classroom and beyond. Advocate for students and ensure that all services and supports are delivered effectively. Stay current with VT Special Education Law, educational strategies, and best practices for working with students with disabilities.
