JOB SUMMARY: Preparing paper rolls for printing before preparing printed paper roll for transfer to other processing area within the plant. Products/Materials Produced and/or Services Provided Printed paper for beverage cups. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES: Set up Production Rolls Unwind: Receive paper mill roll Cut covering off roll Place roll on track Prep machine Cut off tags Cut two layers of paper and tape paper Load paper on winding machine. Remove core plugs Remove metal band Tape measure per A Set up Production Rolls Rewind: Once roll comes out of printing press, cut sample for operator. Tape roll Take air out of shaft Put tags inside roll and stick tags on outside of roll Place core plugs Strap the paper roll Push out with roll pusher for pickup.
