Volt is immediately hiring a Supplier Quality/Technical Engineer in San Diego, CA. As a Supplier Quality/Technical Engineer you will: Participate in supplier quality improvement activities, working with suppliers to develop and improve quality levels. Key Responsibilities: Review supplier data to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. Review non-conforming parts in MRB (Material Review Board) and determine appropriate dispositions. Monitor and report on supplier defect rates; guide suppliers in corrective actions. Support suppliers in implementing process improvements and quality assurance plans. This is a full time, contingent opportunity. The ideal candidate will have: Required Skills and Competencies: Communication: Ability to convey technical and quality-related information clearly and effectively to all parties involved. Problem Solving: Expertise in identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions. Quality Assurance: Deep knowledge of QA methodologies. Supplier Management: Skilled in managing supplier relationships, performance, and certifications. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree (e.g. Engineering, Industrial technology, Manufacturing Technology) Extensive experience in supplier quality, manufacturing standards, and quality assurance. Technical knowledge and exposure with shop operations and manufacturing processes Experience using quality / statistical tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA, PPAP, RCCA) Pay Rate: $35/hour-$42.05/hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
