Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) About the Company Innovative financial technology (FinTech) company specializing in digital payments, banking & currency services Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in need of a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) with a strong background in U.S. regulatory compliance, particularly in the areas of stablecoins, cryptocurrencies, and digital assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive compliance program that aligns with federal and state regulations, including BSA/AML, OFAC, and specific cryptocurrency guidance. This role demands a professional with a deep understanding of the BSA/AML, OFAC, and state money transmission frameworks, as well as hands-on experience with MSB and MTL licensing processes. The CCO will also be tasked with establishing and enforcing KYC, KYB, and AML policies, supervising customer onboarding and transaction monitoring, and ensuring the timely preparation and filing of regulatory reports.

Applicants for the CCO position at the company should hold a Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field and have at least 5 years of compliance experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, stablecoin operations, or financial services. A strong knowledge of BSA, AML, OFAC, and state money transmission regulations is essential, as is a proven track record with MSB and MTL licensing processes. The role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of KYC/AML best practices, transaction monitoring systems, and SAR reporting, as well as strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with regulators and external auditors. A CAMS or equivalent compliance certification is preferred. The CCO will also be responsible for regulatory monitoring, serving as the primary liaison for regulatory matters, and coordinating internal audits, risk assessments, and external examinations.
