Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with an active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Alabama and a strong background in industrial mechanical and piping systems. This position is ideal for someone with 4+ years of experience, a passion for practical problem-solving, and the ability to guide projects from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities: · Perform engineering calculations, load analysis, and system sixing for electrical power distribution, lighting, and control systems · Review, approve, and seal engineering designs, drawings, and calculations in accordance with applicable codes and standards · Develop technical specifications for equipment and installation · Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into broader project designs · Coordinate with vendors, clients, and construction teams to ensure project requirements are met · Conduct and document site visits, inspections, and as-built verifications as needed · Provide technical review of engineering deliverables to ensure quality and compliance Required Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (ABET-accredited) · Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Alabama (required); additional state licensure strongly preferred · Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in industrial or heavy facility environments · Experience with power distribution, lighting, and control systems design · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite · Familiarity with analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, or similar) is a plus · Strong technical writing and communication skills · Commitment to maintaining licensure in good standing, including continuing education requirements · Familiarity with analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, or similar) is a plus Location & Work Arrangement: · Open to remote, hybrid or on-site applicants Compensation & Benefits: · Commensurate with experience and licensure.
