The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Skidmore College invites applications for a part-time Assistant Lecturer position in Hebrew for the Spring 2026 semester. The position involves teaching one section of Hebrew 101 in Spring 2026. Depending upon performance, enrollment, and departmental needs, it is possible that the successful candidate would be considered for a similar position for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities include teaching introductory Hebrew language courses only. Requirements include a minimum of an M.A. in Hebrew linguistics, language pedagogy, second-language acquisition, or a related field; native or near-native proficiency in Hebrew; excellent command of English; and demonstrated experience and commitment to language teaching at the college level in the U.S. The compensation for this position is $2507 per credit (courses are three or four credits).
