Volt is immediately hiring a Remote Inpatient Auditor in Maplewood, Minnesota with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will be involved in coding and documentation audits on inpatient facility records, delivery of results, customer education and compliant documentation. This is a first shift position. As an Inpatient Auditor you will: Participate in auditing tasks of medical record coding, documentation, compliance and DRG assignment Demonstrate knowledge of payer issues, documentation opportunities, and clinical documentation requirements Review medical records for completeness and accuracy for severity of illness and risk of mortality. Adhere to all coding and clinical documentation improvement guidelines Conduct clinical documentation tasks, meeting productivity and quality standards as set for each project Ensuring professional, quality and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties Complying with corporate policies and procedures while acting in a manner consistent with company values and ethical standards This is a full-time contingent opportunity Estimated Duration 24+ months The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university RHIA, RHIT with CCS certification and a minimum of eight (8+) years of clinical coding experience, or Valid RN License with minimum of eight (8+) years acute care experience Recognized CDI credential from ACDIS (CCDS) or AHIMA (CDIP) Five (5+) years of CDI experience Two (2+) years of Auditing experience Preferred Skills: Master's degree in HIM, Nursing, or other healthcare clinical background 7 years in an advanced CDI role preferred Experience with telecommuting, working with EMRs and other electronic tools Attention to detail, highly organized, with an absolute focus on quality of work Deep understanding of clinical documentation, medical record coding, healthcare billing and revenue cycle management Strong ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and DRG auditing experience Working knowledge of risk-adjusted methodologies (e.g., APR DRGs) Working knowledge of quality of care measures (e.g., PSIs) Pay Rate: $60-68.00 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
