Driver Oversight & Training Implement and manage driver training and re-training programs to maintain safety and compliance standards. Conduct ride-alongs to evaluate driving skills, customer service, and adherence to safety policies. Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed. Fleet Operations Coordinate daily delivery schedules and route assignments. Arrange back-up tractors and trailers when primary equipment is unavailable. Oversee equipment rentals to meet operational demands. Administer and track Pre-Pass devices (in coordination with J. Ruble). Manage the Gas Tap Up program to control fueling costs and efficiency. Monitor and maintain truck and trailer camera systems for safety and compliance. Maintenance & Equipment Care Schedule and track truck and trailer repairs/maintenance to minimize downtime. Conduct and enforce daily equipment inspections for all tractors, trailers, and operational tools. Oversee trailer/tractor washing program to meet cleanliness and food safety requirements. Maintain detailed maintenance and inspection records in compliance with regulations. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and food safety regulations. Keep driver qualification files current (licenses, medical cards, certifications). Investigate accidents, incidents, or equipment damage and implement preventive measures. Reporting & Administration Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics (fuel usage, downtime, cost per mile, etc.). Recommend cost-saving measures and operational improvements. Act as a liaison between drivers, dispatch, and management to resolve issues promptly. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of fleet supervision, dispatch, or transportation management (food distribution preferred). Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in routing software, fleet tracking systems, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
