Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer with strong expertise in Allen-Bradley and Siemens automation platforms to lead the design, programming, and commissioning of industrial control systems. This is a high-impact role involving project leadership, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and technical mentorship. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of developing robust automation solutions for complex machinery or manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of PLC-based control systems using Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000, RSLogix, FactoryTalk View) and Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7, WinCC) Oversee and validate the integration of HMI, VFD integration, robotics, motion control, and safety systems Direct and mentor junior engineers and technicians on project tasks, code standards, and troubleshooting techniques Coordinate cross-functional efforts with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration Own the electrical controls portion of automation projects from concept to commissioning, including specification, and design reviews Perform on-site system commissioning and customer support, both domestic and international, as needed Ensure compliance with safety regulations and design standards (e.g., NFPA 79, CE, UL508A) Develop and maintain system documentation, including schematics, I/O lists, functional descriptions, and operation manuals Provide technical leadership during design reviews and risk assessments Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline 8+ years of hands-on experience in controls engineering roles, preferably in industrial automation or OEM environments Advanced proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley and Siemens) VFD programming and HMI development Strong knowledge of industrial networking: EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, etc. Familiarity with servo motion systems, vision systems, robot integration, and safety controllers Flexibility to travel for commissioning and support Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Rockwell or Siemens certifications) Experience in regulated or high-volume manufacturing environments Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and IIoT architectures Benefits: The Position offers a competitive salary and benefits package Flexible work hours and a supportive team environment Opportunities for career growth and leadership development Continued education and professional certification support
