A global manufacturing company is currently seeking a Entry Sales Assistant to support their Sales department at their office in the Farmington Hills, MI area. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years’ work experience in office administration, sales support, and / or customer service, and a positive, team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time and direct hire position. Entry Sales Assistant Responsibilities Include Provide administrative and clerical support for sales department Communicate with customers and clients in regard to order status, logistics tracking, questions and issues, etc. Update logistics information, purchase orders, and sales orders in the company system(s) Assist with product pricing and provide quotations to customers Interface with other departments and offices to ensure timely delivery of products Creation of sales reports and miscellaneous documentation for upper management Other duties as assigned Entry Sales Assistant Requirements Include: Minimum high school diploma or GED is required Understand Japanese business culture / language is preferred At least 1-2 years' work experience in Sales Support / Coordination, Office Administration, or Customer Support, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft Excel (using pivot tables, formulas, Vlookup, etc.) and QuickBooks is preferred Good communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment Strong problem-solving and time management skills While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
