Job Title: Senior Bridge Engineer Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid/Onsite options available) Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer (PE) with approximately 10 years of experience in structural design and transportation projects. This role will focus on the design and management of PennDOT and PA Turnpike bridge projects, offering the opportunity to lead high-profile infrastructure work in Western Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills in bridge design, project leadership experience, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and technical direction of bridge and structural projects. Develop and review plans, calculations, and specifications in compliance with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and AASHTO standards. Coordinate with roadway, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success. Manage budgets, schedules, and project deliverables while maintaining quality standards. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and EITs, supporting their technical and professional development. Participate in client coordination, site visits, and technical presentations as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain through reciprocity). 10+ years of bridge engineering experience, ideally with PennDOT and PA Turnpike projects. Proficiency with design software such as MicroStation, OpenBridge, AutoCAD, or similar. Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and PennDOT design standards.
