CNC Spring Coiling Machine Operator

Job Description: Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc. is seeking CNC Spring Coiling Machine Operators to join our production team. This full-time role involves operating advanced CNC and mechanical spring and wire forming machines to manufacture precision springs and wire forms. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Overview: As a CNC Spring Coiling Machine Operator, you will set up and operate equipment such as Herdon, Torin, AIM, and Fortuna machines to produce compression, extension, and torsion springs. You will receive structured on-the-job training to develop your expertise in coiling, wire forming, machine setup, and blueprint reading, with opportunities for career advancement in precision manufacturing. Duties: Set up and operate CNC and mechanical spring/wire forming machines Perform machine changeovers and basic troubleshooting Operate Herdon, Torin, AIM, and Fortuna equipment Produce a variety of compression, extension, and torsion springs Read and interpret blueprints and complete SPC (Statistical Process Control) reports Work under the guidance of experienced operators to ensure quality and efficiency On-the-Job Training Will Include: Forming tapered, dumbbell, bell, conical, and cylindrical spring shapes Working with both round and square wire ranging from .003” to .625” Operating CNC wire bending machines with 3 to 8 axes Machining cams, cutters, arbors, quills, and body tools Setting up speed control systems to maximize productivity Heat treating and stress relieving tooling and wire-formed parts Technical blueprint reading and interpretation ISO 9001:2015 inspection procedures using advanced electronic testing equipment Experience: Mechanically inclined with strong interest in machine operation Computer literate with ability to use hand and power tools Excellent attention to detail and precision in work Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment All new hires are processed through a temp agency during their first 500 work hours. As part of this process, a drug test and background check are required. This arrangement does not affect take-home pay—all fees are fully covered by Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc. After completing the 500-hour period, candidates may be evaluated for full-time hire or released based on performance and fit.
