MRA Recruiting Services is hiring: Warehouse Associate in Elgin

Overview

Warehouse Associate – TS at Triad Technologies, Elgin, IL. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. This is a full-time position, M-F, 7:30 – 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Review and prioritize daily shipping orders when received.
• Pull all parts as indicated on the shipping orders, assemble and other components if necessary.
• If required, call the freight carrier indicated on the shipping order and complete any paperwork that the carrier may require.
• Load and unload trucks as necessary. Inspect containers and material reporting any damage or missing items noticed.
• Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Prepare quality documents including but not limited to: PPAP and ISIR.
• Determine method of shipment.
• Affix shipping labels on packed boxes.
• Assemble cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.
• Insert items into containers, bind the container with the appropriate tape.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, record damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify any shortages.
• Route items to appropriate location.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Make product deliveries to local customers on occasion.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• GED; and 6 months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Reads and follows written work instructions
• Possess strong mathematical skills
• Able to measure and read/interpret blueprints when needed
• Able to use standard hand and power tools
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
• Ability to become forklift certified (we can train)
• Excellent attention to detail
