Mattress Firm Inc. is hiring: Warehouse Associate in Birmingham

* General warehouse operations* Knowledge of the equipment and function of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspection* Load and unload product from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.* Stage deliveries.* Store all product in designated location.* Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.* Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.* Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork.* Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.* Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.* Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.* May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.* Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash and cleaning parking lot and entrance to building.* Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.* Ensure cleanliness of offices, bathrooms, warehouse floor, truck docks and aisles through mopping, sweeping, and washing.* Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal area, and recycling materials.* Clean and sanitize product per Company standard operating procedure.* Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.* Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.* Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.* Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.* Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.* Strong communication skills.* Ability to pay close attention to detail.* Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure completion of work.**Mission** Make it easy to get a great night's sleep by offering the best products and an exceptional customer experience. **About Mattress Firm** In 1986, three incredible individuals came together over borrowed pool furniture with an idea – a vision to create an unsurpassed guest experience that would revolutionize the bedding industry.
