Job Summary

We are seeking a Tow Truck Driver to join our team! As a Tow Truck Driver, you will respond to calls from stranded motorists and provide emergency roadside assistance, accident recovery, and recover abandoned vehicles. You will also maintain detailed documentation of each call, provide basic invoicing to clients, and accept payments in the field as needed. The ideal candidate has experience with roadside assistance or basic vehicle repair, has driven a tow truck before, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

1. Respond to roadside emergencies within a designated area.
2. Recover vehicles and bring them to a designated location professionally and accurately.
3. Maintain the tow truck and all equipment to ensure safety.
4. Keep detailed records of calls responded to.
5. Write and present invoices to clients in the field and accept payments as needed.

Qualifications

• Hold the proper license to operate a tow truck in the state (e.g., tow truck endorsement on NYS license).
• Maintain a clean driving record and demonstrate safe driving skills.
• Experience with dollies and basic roadside assistance tasks such as changing a tire, battery boost, or lockout.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
