As a Carpenter Trainee on our Des Moines team, you will help deliver five-star shower installation and bath remodel experiences to customers. You will report to the Installation Manager and work closely with Lead Installers, Trainers, and Warehouse/Operations professionals.
What It Takes to Succeed
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, construction – or a hunger to learn
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must have a valid smart phone or smart device to log into company-required systems using two-factor authentication
A Day in the Life
- Meet at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, gather materials, and load company trucks
- Drive to customers' homes, greet and establish rapport
- Perform controlled demolition of the bathtub/shower area
- Install new bathtub/shower pan and acrylic wall surround; update plumbing as needed
- Show extreme attention to detail and care for the customer’s home by properly cleaning up after installation
- Obtain necessary signed documents and payment from the customer, and return to the warehouse
