Overview

We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) candidate to join our team. We are looking to hire a CPA candidate to grow with our firm.

Location: New Port Richey, FL

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, such as journal entries and account reconciliations
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Prepare and review sales tax reports
• Prepare 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990 tax returns and work papers using Excel
• Communicate with clients on a friendly and professional demeanor
• Tax planning
• Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
• Keep client financial information confidential

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or candidate
• Two years of experience with preparation of corporate, partnership, and individuals tax returns a must
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, UltraTax, Accounting CS, Fixed Assets, MS Excel)
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in financial data
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
