Ivy Tech Community College is hiring: Security Guard - Part Time in Logansport

Overview

This position is responsible for the security of the campus and grounds. Overseeing the safety and security of students, faculty and staff during evening hours of operation at the campus. Maintaining order and assuring adherence to parking lot rules. Making sure that all buildings are locked and alarms are set at routine closing of buildings at night. Routinely checks the perimeter of all buildings to make sure that all doors are locked properly after closing. Patrols the buildings and parking lots to resolve problems and provide assistance as needed. Provides assistance to students or staff as needed. Transports funds from the business office to the bank as needed. Provides security to special College sponsored events as required. Responds to emergency assistance calls when needed. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.
