Under general supervision of the Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will perform a variety of duties. This includes:
- Preparing hot and cold beverages to serve
- Serving packaged and prepared foods
- Compiling routine food orders
- Receiving and putting away deliveries, cleaning, and sanitation
- Operation of computerized POS for transactions

Job Responsibilities
- Serve hot coffee and tea beverages
- Use and operate all appropriate equipment
- Respond politely and quickly to requests, queries, issues, and grievances
- Accept cash and credit card transactions correctly, following proper funds practices
- Display a deep knowledge of all menu options
- Follow all applicable health and safety rules
- Support Starbucks’ culture, values, and goals
- Remain calm while working under duress
- Keep the business in good order and anticipate customer demands
- Clean, organize, and stock supplies and facility
Organizational Responsibilities
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies, and department-specific education within established timeframes
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes
- Utilizes universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect customers and self
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance
- Complies with organization and department policies
- Available to work overtime or additional shifts when required

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; minimum age 17. Previous customer service experience in a food service environment is preferred but not required
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; request clarification as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to build relationships
- Physical stamina to stoop, reach, lift equipment and supplies; stand for long periods
Working Conditions
