Position Summary
Dental Assistant position in UNMC Pediatric Dentistry, under general supervision, to assist House Officers and faculty in daily patient treatment and all related responsibilities and functions.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required Education: Relevant coursework/specialized training or equivalent. If any degree major/training is required, please specify the type. (NOTE: Concentration and minors are not equivalent to a major). Will consider a minimum of six months post high school education/experience related to Dentistry.
Required Experience: Less than 1 year. If any experience is required, please specify what kind of experience: Will consider a minimum of six months post high school education/experience related to Dentistry.
Required License: Yes. If yes, what is the required licensure/certification? Certification as a dental assistant or ability to obtain a dental assistant certificate within one year of hire date.
Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) in Spanish & English Languages. Demonstrate professionalism. Strong customer and interpersonal service skills. Demonstrate organizational and time management skills. Ability to work closely with others and a variety of personality types. Must be dependable.
Preferred Education: Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program. If any degree/training is preferred, please specify the type.
Preferred License: Yes. If yes, what is the preferred licensure/certification?: Certification to take radiographs. Certification for extended duties (e.g. coronal polishing).
