Summary of Job Duties: The Dental Assistant supports dentists and hygienists by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting during procedures, and providing chairside support to ensure patient comfort and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED, completion of a dental assisting training program, and at least 1 year of experience as a dental assistant.
- Verify accreditation status of training source.
- Trained in four-handed dentistry, knowledgeable of CDT codes, OSHA regulations, and Arkansas Dental Practice Act.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a registered dental assistant if trained at CODA-accredited entity; or 5 years if trained elsewhere.
- Licensed/certified in Arkansas as a registered dental assistant with permits for radiography, coronal polishing, and nitrous oxide administration.
Additional Information:
Job Requirements: Provide clinical support and administrative duties, including assisting with dental procedures, patient assessments, radiographs, administering sedation, equipment maintenance, inventory management, scheduling, and front desk duties.
