Our office, Gordon & Maltz - New City, is seeking a talented part-time Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. We are looking for a skilled Dental Assistant to help us provide a world-class specialty experience for every patient.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients to the dental office
  • Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
  • Selecting and setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
  • Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
  • Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked
  • Scheduling appointments and post-op visits
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Assisting with payment procedures

As an essential member of the office, you will also help facilitate/coordinating other office responsibilities as needed.

Schedule

The weekly work schedule is: 3 set days and an additional 4th day a couple of times a month. The doctor rotates between 3 locations, so you must have dependable transportation to travel between New City, Middletown, and Poughkeepsie (mileage reimbursement is offered).

Your Background

You are a resourceful dental assistant who loves helping patients receive the experience they deserve and helping the Dentist provide it. You are kind, passionate, collaborative, and able to proactively adjust to shifting priorities with the aim of making a positive impact.

  • At least 1-2 years of proven experience as a dental assistant; specialty is preferred
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • A high school diploma
  • A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
  • An active state radiology license (if required by law)

Compensation

Position Base Pay Range: $20 - $26 USD

Specialty1 Partners provides HR and payroll support to the applicable practice. Clinical employees include dental assistants and staff providing direct treatment.
