Overview
The Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide range of preventive maintenance, repair, and part replacement on all municipally owned and operated equipment, both diesel and gas. This position ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the City's fleet, including vehicles and heavy equipment. This role involves snow plowing and removal operations during winter months to maintain City infrastructure and ensure public safety. The position performs a variety of skilled technical duties and mechanical labor to ensure the operational integrity and performance of all municipal equipment and processes.
